Our small, family-owned store is in a newly renovated barn, which has been in the family for more than 100 years! In addition, we provide in-house landscape design and consulting. For this service, you work directly with our owner and operator Lisa Hagemann, a knowledgeable landscape designer.

A Note from Our Owner

"Since graduating from the University of Missouri-Columbia, I have spent the last 25 years designing perennial gardens, creating landscapes for homeowners, and developing commercial sites, as well as residential subdivisions. I have a passion to create a new space that is unique every time I start a project.

"I never get tired of learning about new plant species to tie in with the reliable species that thrive in our Midwest environment, which tolerate drought, grow in dense shade, wetlands, and survive high humidity to freezing winter winds. The choices are endless through texture, height, color, and hardiness.

"I invite you to stop by Oma's Barn for in-house landscape consulting. We look forward to meeting you!" – Lisa Hagemann
